Red Line Unveils Vogan-9SP Drone for CUAS Operations

St. Petersburg, Russia – Red Line, a Russian defense company, unveiled the Vogan-9SP drone at a conference today. This multicopter drone is specifically designed to intercept and eliminate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones.

The Vogan-9SP operates in conjunction with a radar system for target detection and a laser system to illuminate the identified UAV. While the operator initiates the interception mission, the drone relies on automatic guidance in the final moments before impact. Equipped with a warhead, the Vogan-9SP detonates upon contact to neutralize the target drone.

“This is a significant development in the ever-evolving field of counter-drone technology,” said a Red Line spokesperson. “The Vogan-9SP offers a robust solution to address the growing threat posed by unauthorized or hostile UAVs.”

The drone is currently undergoing testing and has a reported top speed of approximately 200 kilometers per hour. Red Line confirmed they are developing an upgraded version with an increased speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
