Light Dynamix – A Bright Year in Review and Exciting Plans Ahead!
As we bid farewell to an eventful year, we at Light Dynamix are thrilled to reflect on the milestones and successes that have defined our journey throughout 2023. It’s been a year marked by innovation, collaboration, and soaring achievements that have set the stage for an even more promising 2024!
2023 The Journey So Far;
Skybrush Partnership
We are proud to have partnered with Collmot Robotics to integrate and provide the industry leading Skybrush software suite with our Pixel lightshow drone. This partnership allows us to provide a complete turnkey solution to our clients worldwide by utilising Skybrush for drone show design and management.
Skyshows Aerial Partnership: Elevating Spectacle
In 2023, our collaboration with Skyshows Aerial took flight with the delivery of 100 Pixel drones, enabling the creation of two awe-inspiring shows that would become the first of their kind;
RAF Benevolent Fund, Inglewood House, Scotland: We had the honour to operate alongside the Skyshows team to create a display for the annual charity fundraising dinner held at the prestigious Inglewood House. 72 Pixel drones were used to perform the first drone light show to a live audience in Scotland. The show paid homage to the Dambuster’s 80th Anniversary and the theme “Tornado” dinner by incorporating the RAF Logo, Lancaster bomber and an animation of the iconic sweep wings of the Tornado.
The confined operational area was a challenge however thanks to the compact design and accuracy of Pixel we were able to safely operate 72 drones in a flight volume of just 30m!
Derry Halloween, Derry, Northern Ireland: Once again we had the honour to operate alongside the Skyshows team with 100 Pixel drones to create the first drone light show in Northern Ireland. Derry, hosts Europe’s largest Halloween festival attracting more than 130,000 visitors across the 4 days. 100 Pixel drones were used to perform to a crowd over 400m away incorporating several spooky illustrations including a Skull, Crow, Witch and Ghost to name a few as well as the corporate sponsors logo – BT.

Global Expansion: Spreading the Light!
Our commitment to advancing the drone light show industry has extended globally. Light Dynamix has proudly supplied the Pixel drone to multiple clients worldwide including; the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, USA, Australia and Germany empowering our clients to craft captivating and unique spectacles that will illuminate the skies!
Innovation
Light Dynamix’s dedication to innovation and excellence is evident in the continual development of the Pixel ecosystem. Our aim as a company is to simplify the whole operation to create the best user experience from storage, to transport, to handling and operations. We developed a bespoke ‘motherboard’ to integrate the core avionics of the Pixel drone to increase efficiency and reliability while reducing cost to our users. This year we also developed a new smart battery and charging system which can charge 20 smart batteries at once. In addition, a unique cradle was developed to compactly store and transport Pixel to reduce setup times and space requirements.
Award-Winning
On December the 7th we attended the Lincolnshire Enterprise Awards being nominated for 2 categories; Start-up of the Year and App/Product of the Year. Pixel soared and won the App/Product of the Year award against stiff competition!
