Is Autel a Chinese company?

The short answer is yes, I notice that many people are holding up the storyline that Autel is an American company. As they say in the socials, it’s difficult. Autel Robotics was founded in 2014 by Maxwell Lee, a Chinese-American entrepreneur, and Li Hongjing, a former executive at DJI. The company is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, and has offices in the United States, Italy, Germany, and Singapore.

Autel Robotics is also subsidiary of Autel Intelligent Technology, based in Shenzen China they make automotive diagnostic tools.

Autel Robotics launched the X-Star in 2015.

They have moved into the enterprise space with the EVO series and the very intriguing Dragonfish SLT.

Whilst not being NDAA compliant Autel drones are not under as much pressure as DJI. In 2021 head of the FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr called DJI Huawei on Wings

In my experience, Autel has always answered any questions and has been honest and frank.
