- Founded in Paris in 1994 by Henri Seydoux, Parrot designs, develops and markets high-tech wireless products for the general public and professionals. The company has deep technological expertise and our development is focused on both Consumer drones and solutions for Professional markets.
- Location : Westborough Area, MA 01581, USA
- Time : 6 months contract
- Starting : April 1st to Sept 30th 2020
- Requirement : be in relation with factory management and visit factory every day if required
- The NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for the introduction of new products into production. He/she will work directly with R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Production Test, and others to find solutions to most pressing issues reducing time to market and cost of new product introductions while improving quality. A successful NPI engineer; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. He/she will demonstrate qualities of a team player whether on Core or Functional team: communicate constructively, demonstrate reliability, be flexible, and show commitment to success of team as a whole.
- Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure effective transfer of products from concept to production.
- Work closely with R&D and Manufacturing team to develop, implement and manage detailed new product introduction schedules, plans and budgets.
- Lead prototype builds and improve manufacturing operations processes and actively increase efficiency, reduce cost and increase manufacturing yields.
- Manage the supply chain with factory procurement team and ensure all material arrives on time for production, no delay on delivery.
- Check weekly the material status with factory, highlight and reports if any delay or risk on materials
- Talk to vendors to pull in the materials or find alternative solution to have the parts in factory for on time production
- Manage excess & EOL material analysis and control
- Required skills:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes; assembly through test.
- Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM
- Experience working with supply chain and material management
- Intransigent in on time production, solve all issue that prevent to be on time.
- Knowledge in New Product Introduction and Product Life Cycle Management process.
- Superior problem-solving skills: issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and developing recommendations
- Strong facilitation skills. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong leadership
- Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in NPI, Manufacturing Engineering or Supply Chain management
- Proven and successful track record with multiple new product introduction projects.
