We are looking for UAS Pilots to join our US team on both full time and contractor basis
Our US office is growing and we are looking for pilots to come and join the team. Sky-Futures is a long-established, global UAS service company with offices in the UK, USA, Norway, Middle East, and South East Asia. With UAS service experience in over 30 countries, we are one of the world’s leading UAS service providers.
UAS Pilots – US (Contract)
Sky-Futures is hiring experienced UAS pilots for contract operations in and around the United States. Candidates will be professional, motivated self-starters willing to travel for projects in and around their area, or across the country.
Part 107 certified with documented UAS experience is mandatory. Experience working individually or in small teams and an ability to work under pressure in urban and rural environments is highly desirable.
Training and equipment will be provided. The most qualified pilots will have the potential for moving into a full-time company position.
Role:
- UAS pilots for inspection and data collection projects in a range of different industrial markets.
- Projects will be within the United States.
- Risk Assessment, Flight Planning, and Data Management.
- Working with Sky-Futures and Client personnel to deliver high-quality data in an efficient and timely manner.
- Properly maintaining, preparing, and deploying UAS and ancillary equipment for mission completion.
- Collecting, submitting, and record-keeping of all data.
- Safe and procedure led UAS operations.
Candidate:
- Self-sufficient and motivated with experience of working in dynamic environments where safety and professionalism are paramount.
- Flexibility and the ability to deploy to project location at short notice for up to weeks at a time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively as part of a team or individually.
- Must possess FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate with sUAS Rating and show knowledge of FAA regulations.
- High level of operational professionalism and safe working practices.
- Ability to work with high levels of independence in complex environments.
- Motivated self-starter and pragmatic problem solver.
- Computer and technology literate.
Requirements:
- Valid FAA Part 107 Certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have own transportation capable of accessing project locations (some may be remote).
UAS Pilots – US (Full-Time)
Sky-Futures is hiring experienced drone pilots, supervisors, and instructors for operations in and around the United States. Candidates will be professional, motivated self-starters willing to travel for projects in and around their area, or across the country.
Part 107 certified with documented UAS experience is mandatory. Experience working individually, on small teams, and in a management or instructor role with an ability to work under pressure in urban and rural environments is highly desirable.
Training and equipment will be provided.
Role:
- UAS pilots for various inspection and data collection projects.
- Projects will be within the United States.
- Risk Assessment, Flight Planning, and Data Management.
- Working with Sky-Futures and Client personnel to deliver high-quality data in an efficient and timely manner.
- Properly maintaining, preparing, and deploying UAS and peripheral equipment for mission completion.
- Collecting, submitting, and record-keeping of all data.
- Training, supervising, and managing contract pilots and collected data.
- Record keeping of all project activities and delivering reports to management.
- An additional secondary role may be allocated depending on the experience and skill sets of the individual.
Candidate:
- Self-sufficient and motivated with experience of working in dynamic environments where safety and professionalism are paramount.
- Flexibility and the ability to deploy to project location at short notice for up to weeks at a time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively as part of a team or individually.

The main tasks involved in the role are:
- Safe Procedural Operation of rotary and fixed-wing UAS in close proximity of critical infrastructure.
- Deploy (sometimes at short notice) to both onshore and offshore installations via helicopter, vessel or road.
- Ability to follow strict operational procedures at all times.
- Alongside Inspection Engineers, deliver safety critical inspections within set time frames while always maintaining the safety of the team and UAS.
- Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and detailed Flight Plans.
- Assisting in the maintenance and preparation of UAS.
- Client liaison.
