GE Aviation – UAV Flight Test Remote Pilot

In this role, you will be a flight test operator who works closely with our customers and our experienced AiRXOS flight team to develop, integrate and flight test solutions focused on a digital unmanned aircraft system ecosystem that is innovating and advancing next generation air traffic management, autonomy and commercial unmanned aircraft operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Fly UAV systems as a FAA Part 107 certified Remote Pilot to test AiRXOS developed solutions and products
- Support flight test operations through hardware and software systems integration
- Develop and execute flight test plans and procedures in support of system under test (SUT) and system of system (SoS) solutions
- Integrate AiRXOS software and products on UAs and then verify and fight test
- Perform scheduled maintenance and updates on UAS
- Troubleshoot UAS hardware and software problems
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve issues
- Identify product / design re-use opportunities to reduce development cost and risk
- Document technical data required for validation & verification of flight test, certification and safety assessments
- Participate in relevant industry standards committees, working groups, and conferences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 5 years of prior unmanned aircraft flight experience (fixed wing, VTOL and/or multicopter)
- FAA Part 107 remote pilot certified
- Must be willing to travel to customer and GE sites as required (greater than 50% travel)
