Aerodyne announce significant investment from Axiata Digital Innovation Fund

Aerodyne Group, a Global Drone Managed Solutions Provider, are pleased to announce today that they have secured significant funding from the Axiata Digital Innovation Fund (ADIF).
“We are honoured by ADIF’s attention and investment. This is a huge vote of confidence for Aerodyne, and we are excited that they believe in the kind of positively disruptive innovation that we are already delivering to enterprises on a global scale.”
Kamarul A, (CEO, Aerodyne)
The undisclosed investment has been confirmed as ADIF’s largest into a single company, and represents a clear endorsement from them of the drone-based disruptive solutions that Aerodyne provide to a diverse range of industries.
“As one of the drivers of digitisation in Malaysia and the wider region, ADIF is very pleased to support Aerodyne as it wings its way to become the leading drone-based enterprise solutions provider. As strong collaborators with Axiata through ADIF, Aerodyne will continue to leverage on opportunities in its journey to become a formidable player in this new digital space.”
Mohamad Idham Nawawi, (Group Chief Corporate Officer, Axiata)
The investment is earmarked for Aerodyne’s continued commitment to the development of next generation artificial intelligence in drone operations and analytics. It will also allow them to sustainably support the rapid global expansion which has seen them establish operations in ten countries worldwide, with more on the horizon. This approach is in line with ADIF’s vision of “Advancing Asia via connectivity, technology and talent” and cements the synergy between two companies who are pushing the boundaries in IoT and other disruptive approaches.
“Of the 14 companies that ADIF has invested in, Aerodyne is the largest single investment to-date. Having known of and reviewed Aerodyne since mid last year, we are impressed by the technological prowess and ability to deliver at scale demonstrated by the company. We are convinced that drones and analytics will continue to be integrated into the workflows of multiple industries. The tipping point for the mainstream adoption of this technology is already at hand”.
Kamarul Nizam (Partner, ADIF)
Aerodyne’s Total Managed Solutions, myPRISM (Project Management) and Vertikaliti (Asset Management) are already deployed on major projects within Oil & Gas, Power Transmission/Distribution, Telecoms, Renewables, Construction, Utilities, Infrastructure and beyond.
