Sharper Shape strengthens leadership

Sharper Shape has recently refocused its strategy and undergone an organizational transition to move towards an international product company.

Ilkka Hiidenheimo, born 1960, took the helm of Shaper Shape as the CEO. Hiidenheimo was the founder of Stonesoft Corporation in 1990. He served as CTO until 2004. Between the years 2004 and 2014 he held the role of Managing Director and CEO. Hiidenheimo has more than 30 years of experience working in the computer industry and IT-security. Stonesoft was sold to Intel for $389 Million in cash in 2013.

Anrej Srsen of Straightforward Capital will be the new chairman of the board. As a corporate finance expert, Srsen has extensive experience of establishing and running clean tech companies in an international environment.

In addition to continuing serving on the board of directors of Sharper Shape, I (Tero Heinonen) will pursue new business opportunities, more broadly in the area of autonomous robotic systems. If you are interested in DIY self-driving cars, we will be building one for this summer and would be open to share experiences with others in the same quest. Besides that, please expect more exciting news in the coming months.
