Man drowns in pond while looking for crashed drone

Madison, IL (KTVI) – Police in Madison, Illinois say 54-year-old Mark A. Miller of Granite City drowned Saturday night in a pond.  The man was looking for a drone which had crashed, when he apparently walked out onto the pond.

Emergency responders found him by following tracks in the snow, which led to the pond.

Madison and Long Lake Fire Departments recovered the man’s body.
