Makes for interesting reading but last years HobbyKing Beer lifts Pete Bitar, lifted more and if I might say in a more logical way. They lifted 205lbs, and the potential cargo was of course very important for the drone delivery world.

I think the YouTube description makes great reading.

This video was taken for the HobbyKing.com annual “Beer Lift” competition, 2015. We lifted 205 lbs (indicated on our not-so-great scale – we think it was more like 225 lbs, actually, but what the heck…) of “drinkable liquid” (water) in 4, 54-lb jugs, plus about an 8-lb fiberglass mounting plate. The VertiPod Hex (check out http://VertiPod.com for more information) is capable of lifting up to 300 lbs., but liquid sloshing around is a little harder, so we went a little lighter this time out.

Such a pity that Guinness plainly does not do much checking, Roy Castle will be spinning in his grave.

The McWhirters would never have allowed it.

OK, I’d better stop indulging the UK child of the 70’s side of me.
