Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for Remote Sensing (UAS4RS) Conference 2016

Getting Down and Dirty with UAS4RS: Searching for Solutions to Environmental Challenges
We invite all doers, dabblers, and would-be dabblers to join us for the inaugural UAS4RS 2016 (Unmanned Aircraft Systems for Remote Sensing) Conference to be held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane 17-18 February 2016. The aim of UAS4RS 2016 is to bring together the UAS community in Australia, and to present and discuss UAS technology for remote sensing applications and information extraction.
This conference is for you if:
- You’re a ‘doer’: you already use UAS as part of your remote sensing workflow and would like to share your experiences and challenges;
- You’re a ‘dabbler’: you’ve done some testing and think this technology might be the way forward for you; and
- You’re a ‘would-be dabbler’: you’ve heard the hype and you’re curious to know more.
We are designing an interactive and engaging program and we’d like you to be part of it! We’ll be actively linking you with UAS researchers, developers, systems and service providers, as well as end-users. There will be presentations, posters, exhibitions, live demonstrations, and discussions to exchange ideas on the use of UAS for remote sensing applications.
So whether you have a story to share, equipment to demonstrate, or would simply like to come along and learn more about this exciting technology, we welcome you to UAS4RS 2016!
For more information, abstract submission, and sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, please see the attached flyer and visit http://conf2016.uas4rs.org.au/. Keep up to date by following us on Twitter @UAS4RS.
The due date for abstract submission is very soon. Please submit your abstract before the 18th of December 2015. We encourage students in particular to submit an abstract.
