FAA registered drones a Yuletide update

3D Robotics returns to the number 2 spot in the USA. DJI continue to dominate with 44% market share  at the beginning of the Christmas season. Both companies are beginning to pull away from other manufacturers.

As noted earlier Microsoft joins the fray but otherwise there is very little happening.

To explain the chart below a little, 15% of the platforms out there are registered to owner builders and fall outside of the traditional manufacturers remit. They might have a 3DR or DJI controller in them but they are not counted as being made by them.
