Jacksonville drone company gets Army contract

Jacksonville-based Drone Aviation Holding Corp. (OTC: DRNE) was awarded an order from U.S. Government prime contractor BAE Systems for parts and services related to enhancing and supporting two drone systems for the U.S. Army.
The unmanned WASP aerostat systems, which are tethered drones, are owned and operated by the U.S. Army Space and Missile Command Battle Lab. They will be used in upcoming exercises, according to a press release
The upgrades and services Drone will provide are designed to expand the payload weight capability of the drone systems — which look like a small hot air balloon attached by a smart tether to a mobile platform — in order to integrate specialized electronics, advanced opticis and a communications package.
