Quest UAV looking for Sales Engineer

QuestUAV is currently seeking a Sales Engineer to become part of its dynamic team and help grow the company into a multi million pound turnover company in the next three years in the civilian UAV / RPA manufacturing sector. A Sales Engineer will be able to professionally initiate, organize, co-ordinate, plan and conduct sales activities in line with the business plan. The right person shall also understand customer needs, give useful advice and generally translate customer demands into solutions.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Conducting active and autonomous sales activities
- Winning and developing customers in agreement with corporate strategy
- Caring for existing clients and key accounts
- Being present in the market through the website, social media and newsletters
- Identify customer needs and satisfy them through close cooperation with the rest of the team
- Indentify new markets and assist develop new products for such markets
- Promoting of QuestUAV as an innovative and technology- leading company
- Maintenance of CRM
- Strategic planning and drafting of SMART (personal) goals
- Evolution of own skills and techniques
Skills/experience:
- Surveying experience/ technical surveying equipment sales experience is desirable, not essential
- Mastery of fundamental selling skills
- Mastery of fundamental negotiation skills
- Capability to see through customer’s eyes
- Professional handling of customer contacts
- Mastering customer complaints professionally and leading them towards a useful solution
- Useful technical knowledge includes engineering, mechanics, electrics, aerodynamics, remote control, photogrammetry
- Good software skills (especially Excel) and IT platforms (PC, MAC, Linux)
- Good skills with modern means of communication
The ideal candidate:
- Business/marketing degree with good technical understanding
- Engineering degree with good commercial understanding
- Comparable qualification acquired by experience
- Experience or knowledge in one or more of these: the UAV industry / remote control experience / robotics engineering / small electrical engineering projects / arduino & hobbyist project / aerodynamics
- 3 years practical sales experience is important
- Good hand /eye coordination (successful candidate will become UAV pilot/commander)
- Relevant industrial experience (manufacturing and or engineering) is essential, preferably in a SME
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, with the ability to learn quickly
- Autonomous planning and conducting of projects
- Meeting deadlines and keeping agreements/ promises
- Professional self- management (time-keeping, travel planning, file and data management)
- Any additional European languages (particularly Spanish/German) welcome
- Will preferably not require re-locating
