Sky-Futures join the board of the Small UAV Coalition

Sky-Futures, the global leader in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) oil and gas inspection services, today announced it has joined the likes of Google and Amazon as board members of the Small UAV Coalition.
The announcement comes at a time when the leading UAV technology companies are looking for ways to work together in order to accelerate the development of tomorrow’s UAV technology and today’s UAV regulatory infrastructure, particularly in the USA. The Small UAV Coalition works to realise this through promoting the safe commercial, civil, and philanthropic use of small UAV technology.
Currently with only 12 board members, the Small UAV Coalition is looking to bring together only those UAV companies at the forefront of the technology and industry delivery. The coalition is an exciting group of technology companies, currently offering services utilising UAVs in a variety of industries, from oil and gas through to the media.
Sky-Futures are excited to bring their pioneering experience and UAV technology expertise to the coalition. These skill sets will be shared in order to help the development of new technology platforms and a regulatory system that protects personal privacy, advances suitable spectrum solutions, and removes unnecessary policy or regulatory hurdles that impede small UAV development, job creation, and services.
Chris Blackford, Operations Director at Sky-Futures, on joining the Small UAV Coalition:
‘The coalition forms a unique body of UAV specialists from across the technology spectrum. We look forward to being active members and helping further the already excellent work that has been achieved. The coalition already has a reputation for joining together only the most innovative and forward-thinking UAV companies internationally and we are excited to be on that list.’
