External Consultation JARUS-ORG

Please be informed that the proposed 1^st edition of JARUS-ORG (v 0.17) is now available for external consultation under the “Draft Deliverables” tab in the main menu bar on the JARUS web site.

This 1^st edition contains proposed requirements for RPAS Operators (commercial and non-commercial) and Approved Training Organizations. Subsequent editions will include requirements for design, production, maintenance and other organisations.

Since this document has already been presented at the public JARUS Workshop in May 2014, we are starting the external consultation immediately. The deadline for providing comments is 29 August 2014.
JARUS is soliciting feedback and comments from authorities and stakeholders in the non-military RPAS market from anywhere in the world.

Filippo Tomasello, rapporteur of the JARUS Group on the matter, declared: “This first edition of JARUS-ORG may not be perfect; but we firmly believe that to further widen the market, we need clear rules on all professional operators of commercial and non-commercial civil drones”.

JARUS is a group of experts coming from National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) from the five continents and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
