Sky-Futures exhibit alongside Bilfinger Salamis at the UK Energy Showcase this September
Sky-Futures have at their heart innovation and progress. We strive for positive change and development, such as new inspection techniques, staying ahead of the game with technology to help us to achieve this. This focus on innovation has been recognised by Aberdeen-based industrial services contractor Bilfinger Salamis, who have invited Sky-Futures to exhibit alongside them this September 3-5th in Aberdeen at the Bilfinger Salamis UK Energy Showcase.
Bilfinger are celebrating their 40th year of business by showcasing new skills and techniques, and it is great that they have recognised Sky-Futures for our innovative ideas and service delivery. Taking place at the same time as SPE’s Offshore Europe, also in its 40th year, the Skills Centre will be a hub for demonstrations and new skills that are at the cutting edge of inspection techniques.
Key to these demonstrations will be Sky-Futures. We will be there to explain how we have pioneered new offshore inspection techniques using UAVs and will have our equipment there to demonstrate this. We will be able to explain how our UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) can be flown from service support vessels offshore, as proven this year in the North Sea in 20 knots of wind and 1.85m sea swell.

We are looking forward to answering questions about our expertise and showing how efficiencies can be achieved by our many inspection services we offer in the industries of Oil and Gas, Renewables and Utilities. The Bilfinger Salamis UK Energy Showcase takes place from 3-5 September at the Bilfinger Salamis Skills Centre on Broadfold Road, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. The showcase runs from 10am – 4pm, and a BBQ will be held daily from 11am-3pm, and a free shuttlebus service is available from the AECC
