Alaska Unmanned Aircraft Systems Interest Group Call for Presentations
The 2013 Alaska Unmanned Aircraft Systems Interest Group meeting is 1 & 2 May. This meeting in Anchorage will highlight important technological research and advancements driving the UAS industry in Alaska.
The program planning committee is accepting proposals for presentations in the following research areas:
- Airspace integration
- Commercial UAS applications
- Civil UAS applications
- Military UAS applications
- UAS or Robotics science, research and educational applications
- UAS flight operations
- Ongoing UAS research
- Emerging equipment, materials, components, avionics related to the field of UAS or Robotics
- Aviation insurance and liability requirements (as applies to UAS)
- Other important technology related topics that affect Alaska and Alaskans
The UASIG meeting is the premier venue addressing robotics and unmanned system development within or for Alaska. The program planning committee is striving to develop diverse, balanced and informative sessions. If interested in presenting at this years meeting, please submit a one-page paper that falls into one of the above categories and ensure your proposals are based on areas of interest to Alaska’s unmanned and robotics systems communities. Time allowed for individual presentations will be based on the number of papers relevant to a particular topic area and the depth of information that each paper describes. The selection committee will discourage presentations that appear to reflect vendor interests.
