UNVEX 2012 flight demonstrations.

Only one UAS flew demonstration flights at UNVEX 2012 Spain. The Spanish summit for Unmanned Systems.

In order to carry out flights all UAS operators had to prove the abilities of their systems to aviation authorities during acceptance flights from the Monday to Wednesday.

Pilots, GCS and autopilot were all put through their paces.

Grupo Acre’s MAVinci “Sirius I” was the only UAS flying at the first acceptance flight day, flying in winds of up to 19kts. The system was the first system and only civil UAS that recieved demonstration certification for UNVEX 12.

On the ground and not flying were more civil systems, airframes from Gatewing and Braemor UAVwere on display. Its not clear if either intended to undertake live flight demonstrations.
