FAA official overseeing UAS coming to Grand Forks

One of the keynote speakers at this year’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Summit in Grand Forks is the top Federal Aviation Administration official overseeing unmanned aircraft regulations, according to Sens. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., and John Hoeven, R-N.D.

James Williams was named executive manager of the UAS Integration Office, a new agency, in March.

The other keynote speaker is Jamie Morin, assistant secretary of the Air Force for financial management — he’s the organization’s chief financial officer — and a former advisor to Conrad
