UMS successfully tests the latest version of the ORCA Tip Jet engine

Unmanned Systems AG is proud to announce a successful start to the testing of the ORCA VTOL UAS Tip Jet Propulsion system.

The Tip Jet propulsion system is a breakthrough in technological research and this successful testing is a big step forward towards the first flight of the innovative new aircraft.

The Tip Jet system test was conducted under laboratory conditions and was accelerated up to 85% of maximum throttle with no problems.
Testing continues with the expected first ORCA flight still on schedule for Q2 2012.
