Aerovironment announces new Operations VP

Monrovia-based Aerovironment, which develops both unmanned aerial vehicles and electric transportation and other energy products, announced today that it has named Joel Hirsch as Vice President of Strategic Operations at the firm. Hirsch was most recently president of TEAC Aerospace Technologies, and also served at Teledyne Technologies, Inc. The firm said that Hirsch will consolidate and streamline procurement across the enterprise. Aerovironment develops unmanned aircraft for the U.S. Department of Defense, along with developing electric vehicle chargers and testing systems for electrical vehicle manufacturers.
